HHLA implements fully digital truck processing

Implementation using innovative passify app marks a milestone in port logistics efficiency, as HHLA replaces physical trucker cards with a secure and streamlined digital solution.

Digital slot booking

The passify app, now operational across HHLA’s three Hamburg terminals, enables truck drivers to book slots, check in digitally, and verify their identity using two-factor authentication.

Since its rollout at the start of the year, the app has facilitated over 200,000 truck arrivals. More than 13,000 truck drivers and haulage companies are actively using it to enhance access management.

The app integrates seamlessly with HHLA’s gate processes, ensuring drivers have access to all required documents and real-time information in one place. Future enhancements, such as mobile self-service terminals, will further expand its functionality.

Developed by HHLA Next, HHLA’s venture-building arm, passify has already been deployed internationally, including at a Romanian terminal, with plans for further expansion.
