Inchcape strengthens South American presence

Located in Mollendo, in the Arequipa region, the new branch is strategically positioned to serve both the Mollendo Terminal and the neighbouring Matarani Port, operated by TISU.

Together, these ports play a critical role in Peru’s import and export activity, handling commodities ranging from ultra-low sulphur diesel oil and gasolines to grains, general cargo, containers and copper concentrates.

“Inchcape’s move into Mollendo marks a pivotal step in strengthening our presence and capabilities within Peru’s maritime sector,” said Hector Cardenas, Peru Marine Services manager.

The Mollendo office will deliver a wide range of services, including full port agency, customs clearance, P&I support, cash to master, crew logistics, husbandry services, cruise call management and protective agency.

By establishing a dedicated local presence, ISS aims to enhance its services for shipowners, charterers and traders operating in Peru. The expansion also marks an important step in accelerating ISS’s entry into the dry bulk market, while strengthening support for oil and gas customers calling at southern Peruvian ports.

The new office reinforces ISS’s wider strategy of combining global reach with strong local expertise to support customers in fast-developing maritime markets.
