Kalmar extends Oslo port partnership

The agreement, booked in Kalmar’s order intake in the fourth quarter of 2025, builds on a collaboration that began in 2016, when both companies were operating under Cargotec.

“We’ve seen the value of Kalmar’s expertise firsthand since we first joined forces in 2016,” said Bjørn Engelsen, terminal director at Yilport Oslo.

“Our terminal is a vital hub for Norwegian trade, and we need a partner who understands the high stakes of our operations. This Complete Care contract gives us the predictability and reliability we need to keep growing.”

Under the terms of the contract, Kalmar will take full responsibility for all maintenance activities at the Oslo terminal. This includes maintenance planning and execution, spare parts warehousing, logistics and round-the-clock technical support.

Yilport Oslo’s fleet includes eight Kalmar E-One2 hybrid rubber-tyred gantry cranes, ship-to-shore cranes and a wide range of mobile equipment such as Kalmar reachstackers and forklifts.

For Kalmar, the renewed agreement underlines its focus on lifetime service partnerships, combining local presence with global technical expertise.
