Kalmar launches TT7 tractor

Re-engineered based on extensive customer feedback, the TT7 series features a heavy-duty galvanised steel frame and reinforced axles designed to maximise structural integrity and corrosion resistance, even in extreme temperatures.

Maintenance has also been simplified, with a three-section front bumper that allows easier repair and replacement.

“The Kalmar TT7 will enable port and terminal operators to take on the toughest cargo and container handling challenges with confidence,” said Thor Brenden, president, Terminal Tractors.

“We have listened closely to our customers and used their valuable feedback to develop a terminal tractor offering that is robust, reliable and efficient as well as being comfortable to operate and easy to maintain.”

Three models are available at launch: the TT770 with a 70,000 kg gross combination weight (GCW) and 20,000 kg lifting capacity; the TT785 with an 85,000 kg GCW and 28,000 kg lifting capacity; and the TT795 with a 95,000 kg GCW and 32,000 kg lifting capacity. Kalmar plans to expand the range in 2026 with a heavy-duty variant and a fully electric model.

Kalmar says the TT7 cabin has been designed with ergonomics and safety at its core. Operators benefit from reportedly one of the widest front-view windscreens in the industry, large rear windows and convex side mirrors to enhance visibility. The cabin also includes an adjustable steering column, steering knob, digital display and control panel, along with improved suspension, climate control and a rotatable seat.

Performance monitoring is integrated via an electronic control system, allowing operators to track transmission and hydraulic data. Additional safety features include LED lighting, a neutral start switch and a three-point contact system.
