Joining forces to protect ecosystems and achieve port expansion

After a four-year study involving more than 1,300 scientists from 95 countries, in 2005 the United Nations issued a report: the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment. In this report the concept of Ecosystems Services (ES) was explored. Since then, ES is gaining momentum, says René Kolman, Secretary General of the International Association of Dredging Companies.
