Coronel dry bulk volume up

The growth is attributed to additional tonnage generated by traditional products handled by the port and also by the arrival of new products such as wood chips and fertiliser, among others.

Dry bulk traffic in 2011 is expected to grow by around 240%, something which will be helped by the opening of the new dry bulk terminal and also by the capture of regular woodchip traffic.

The new terminal has a 1,200m quay and is equipped with five conveyer belts, allowing daily discharge rates of 25,000t.
