Embraport now wholly DP World owned

Empresa Brasileira de Terminais Portuários (Embraport) in Brazil will now be known as DP World Santos after the terminal operating giant acquired an additional stake of nearly 67% from Odebrecht Transport.

The transaction brings DP World’s share in the facility, which is the largest Brazilian private multi-modal port terminal and is located in the Port of Santos, to 100%.

The first phase of the DP World Santos project has created 653 metres of wharf and 207,000 square metres of terminal area.

“DP World has become a major player in the South American infrastructure sector, with a network of container terminals in Peru, the Dominican Republic, Argentina, Ecuador and Suriname, and we remain committed to our role as a global trade enabler and targeting a broader strategy to grow complementary sectors in the global supply chain.”
