Itajaí revokes non-tendered legal contract

The Superintendent at the Brazilian port of Itajaí is to cancel the contract signed with a local law firm, following a recommendation by the public prosecutors office of the state of Santa Catarina.

The contract, which had been awarded without issuing a competitive tender, was done so because, being a specialist service, there was no way of ensuring equal conditions between bidders.
