New laws to boost Brazilian investment

Wilen Manteli, president of the Brazilian Association of Port Terminals, has stressed his support of new port legislation making its way through the country’s congress.

The adoption of draft legislation on ports by Congress will, he said, provide the legal certainty needed for projects, budgeted at $27bn, to go ahead.

Once passed, it will enable existing concessionaires to immediately invest $5bn.
