Posadas and Santa Ana seek operators
Argentina’s Posadas and Santa Ana Port Authority (EAPPSA) has asked for expressions of interest from companies willing to operate installations at the ports of Posadas and Santa Ana. A future contract will cover operations, warehousing and vessel handling, and eventually passenger operations at Posadas.
In addition, Posadas Industrial Park has invited expressions of interest for the construction of a new ro-ro ramp.
Both ports handle international exports from the state of Misiones and, it is hoped, a new operator will reduce tariffs for ships operating from both Paraguay and Brazil.
A new bridge linking Argentina to Brazil via the Uruguay River will also boost future trade.
