Protests stall Açu port construction
Construction work on the new Açu port being promoted by LLX was interrupted twice in March and April.
In April, the halt was caused by protests by local producers who, angered by land expropriation, blocked the road to the port.
Earlier, construction workers had downed tools in a dispute with the contractor. According to LLX, the disruptions will not affect the overall implementation timetable, which is still on track for 2012 start-up.
