Soya logistics chain under review in Brazil

Under analysis is the entire logistics chain. Results will then be integrated into a World Bank initiative, known as Governance of Labour and Logistics for Sustainability.

Under scrutiny are processes linked to the production, transport and loading of soya at port of Santos. Further afield, the team will look at how soya is distributed from other ports, such as those in Europe.

The study is not necessarily looking to find a solution to the structural bottlenecks, but rather to eliminate barriers at the various handling stages, taking into consideration political aspects, as well as how companies interact with one another. In summary, the group hopes to identify operational excellence.
