TOC Americas 2014 begins

This year’s event will focus on changes in trade flows and logistics in North America, Latin American and the Caribbean, as a result of the Panama Canal expansion, growing vessel sizes and a host of new infrastructure developments.

The three-day conference will features sessions covering international trade trends, container shipping forecasts, port development, terminal operations, equipment and technology, hinterland issues, and cold chain logistics.

Day two of the event will see a panel of experts discuss how the growing stresses of ship size versus port capabilities can be reconciled in the debate ‘Latin American Terminal Productivity and the Supply Chain Impact’. Delegates will be able to hear from speakers representing Maersk Line, CSAV, Moffatt and Nichol, AECOM, SSA Marine, SPRC and Virginia International Terminals.

Other key figures at the conference also include those from COSCO Container Lines Americas, Hamburg Süd, and others.

TOC Americas is taking place from 14 to 16 October at the CCCI in Cartagena, Columbia.
