Unified concession process mooted
The Chilean Senate has asked the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications to establish a single national port concessions process that includes a means of guaranteeing the rights of dockworkers in terms of social security and pensions.
The call has been made following government policy to effectively privatise operations at all ports in the country.
