Uruguay raises fees by 20%

Uruguays National Ports Authority (ANP) is to hike tariffs, which are calculated in US dollars, by 20%.

These will be applied to all tariffs, including those on freight, passengers and vessels.

They will be introduced in 2012 and raise an additional $15m for ANP, which has plans for investment of $120m next year.
