Liebherr's uplifting figures
Liebherr-Werk Nenzing delivered 48 units last year including 11 of its biggest crane in its 7-model range, the LHM 500, characterised by a maximum outreach of 51 meters and a lifting capacity up to 140 tonnes suitable for handling post-panamax vessels and claimed to be the most powerful harbour mobile crane on the market.
Next came Spain with six LHM machines followed by England with five and, says Liebherr, characterised by a diversity of harbours which justifies the purchase of an LHM 70 as well as the choice of an LHM 400.
Meanwhile Liebherr Container Cranes has signed a contract for the supply of four heavy-duty twinlift RTGs to Cerescorp's Halifax Terminal. The gantries are of 8 wheel configuration, stack one over five containers high and span six containers plus a truck lane. S.W.L is 50 Tonnes under twinlift telescopic spreader whilst hoist speed is 23/50m/min and trolley speed is 70m/min.
Crane travel speed is 70/130m/min.
