Container handling up a fifth at Georgia

Renovations at the Port of Savannah, US have increased berth capacity by 25% leading to one of the strongest Julys on record

Container movements in July are up nearly a fifth at the Georgia Ports Authority compared with the previous month.

The ports handled 447,590 teu, a rise of 17% over June’s figure of 381,825 teu.
