Global trade leaders remain confident about 2026 growth despite rising barriers, with implications for port operations amid sustained trade volatility and shifting global trade patterns.

That’s according to DP World’s Global Trade Observatory Annual Outlook Report 2026, which finds 94% of surveyed executives expect trade growth to match or exceed 2025, even as costs, tariffs and policy uncertainty intensify.
