US$6m for Brunswick harbour improvements

The Georgia state government has made more than US$6 million available for harbour improvements at the Port of Brunswick.

Recommended by the US Army Corps of Engineers, plans include a bend widener, expansion of the turning basin, and an expanded meeting area at St. Simons Sound.

The entire cost is expected to be US$17.45 million, with a federal share of US$11.35 million.
