Valencia Looking Up

The Port Authority of Valencia (PAV) has announced its fi rst monthly increase in container traffic since May 2022. For March 2023, the port handled a total of 322,137TEU, representing a rise of 16.7 per cent over March 2022. At the same time, rail traffic is also rising. In Q1 2023, an average of 99 weekly trains were scheduled, up on the weekly averages for 2022 (90 trains) and 2021 (80 per week). Valencia is currently building a new 5 million TEU per annum container facility.
