Aberdeen port reports strong growth

The Port of Aberdeen, Scotland has announced a robust financial performance for 2024, underscoring its role in driving sustainable economic growth and the country’s energy transition

In the first full year since the opening of the £420 million South Harbour, the port saw its turnover rise by 10.5% to £50.7 million.

Vessel arrivals climbed 2.6% to 7,128, with total cargo and vessel tonnage increasing by 4.3% to 30.8 million tonnes. Ferry passenger numbers also rose to 207,318, up 2.8% from 2023.
