APM Terminals Mexico is planning a major modernisation of its container terminal in Puerto Progreso, Yucatán, committing to a phased investment of around US$160 million over the next 19 years

The initiative is designed to promote Puerto Progreso as a key logistics hub in southeast Mexico. It is expected to deliver improved operational efficiency, greater logistics visibility and more reliable services, while also creating jobs and boosting Yucatán’s economy.

The long-term plan aims to upgrade infrastructure, modernise equipment and integrate advanced technologies to enhance terminal performance and regional connectivity.
