The Port of Barcelona has launched a public tender for a new multipurpose maritime terminal on the Príncep d’Espanya wharf, following the expiry of the current concession earlier this year

The move aims to safeguard competition and ensure continuity in non-containerised general cargo traffic, a segment considered strategically important for the port’s positioning.
