Cumbrae ferry terminal upgrade begins

Work has begun on a major upgrade of ferry infrastructure on the island of Great Cumbrae, Scotland, marking the start of a project to deliver new, modern facilities for passengers and staff

Led by contractors George Leslie Ltd, the development will see the construction of a new slipway, a traffic marshalling area and a terminal building at Cumbrae Port, providing improved amenities for both the public and employees.

The Scottish government is investing over £12 million in the project, supporting the long-term reliability of the lifeline Cumbrae–Largs ferry route.
