DP World advances Tartous port modernisation

DP World has completed delivery of three mobile harbour cranes to the Port of Tartous, marking a significant milestone in its US$800 million investment programme to modernise the Syrian port

The new cranes are expected to increase cargo-handling capacity by around 40%, supporting faster vessel turnaround and greater efficiency across containerised, bulk and breakbulk operations.

The investment forms part of DP World’s 30-year concession to develop and operate the Port of Tartous.
