Freight experts back self-driving trucks

A new survey has revealed growing confidence in the future of autonomous trucking, with 65% of US transport and shipping professionals expecting widespread use of self-driving trucks by 2050

The study by logistics technology site, Tech.co, surveyed 518 industry professionals and found strong support for using autonomous trucks in controlled environments.

Ports and distribution centres topped the list, with 32% believing they’re the most suitable locations for self-driving vehicles.
