Immingham lands landmark fuels investment

Associated British Ports’ Port of Immingham is set to strengthen its position as one of the UK’s leading energy and logistics hubs after ETFuels selected the site for a pioneering sustainable aviation fuel refinery

Project King’s Road, described as a first-of-a-kind advanced fuels refinery, will convert renewable e-methanol into sustainable aviation fuel for the UK aviation market and international exports.

The development is expected to create at least 500 construction jobs and 50 permanent skilled roles, while reinforcing Immingham’s role in supporting Britain’s energy transition.
