Kandla port plays hosts to MagRail pilot

In a major move to revolutionise cargo movement in India, DP World, the Deendayal Port Authority (DPA) and Nevomo have joined forces to explore deploying Nevomo’s MagRail technology at Kandla Port

The initiative aims to pilot self-propelled, electric-powered freight movement within the port ecosystem using existing rail infrastructure.

The agreement sets the foundation for a 750-metre pilot project – the first of its kind in India – to demonstrate how MagRail can boost cargo capacity, reduce emissions and cut logistics costs by using autonomous rail-based technology.
