PhilaPort launches cruise transformation

PhilaPort has begun construction on the future PhilaPort Cruise Terminal, a project which signals a fundamental shift in the authority’s identity from a purely cargo-focused operation to a multi-faceted maritime gateway

The new 16-acre terminal, located beside Philadelphia International Airport, will open in April 2026 and anchor the region’s return to homeport cruise service.

The terminal is being developed in partnership with Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings and Energy Transfer Marketing and Terminals, following the sale of the former Hog Island Dock Terminal Facility in Tinicum Township.
