The Green Ports & Shipping Congress will identify and prioritise the areas that ports-based organisations and shipping companies need to collaborate on to reduce emissions. Coastlink is a neutral pan-European network dedicated to the promotion of short sea and feeder shipping, and the intermodal transport networks through the ports that support the sector. It is a place for industry professionals to meet and discuss future innovation, economic and environmental considerations – and develop partnerships that will help build a sustainable future. Port Hedland revetment works advance
Major works to reinforce critical port infrastructure are progressing at the Port of Port Hedland as the final stage of the Pilbara Ports Eastern Harbour Revetment Upgrade project gets under way
The project involves renewing degraded sections of the inner harbour revetment wall through the installation of new rock armour, designed to protect the wharf structure from coastal erosion and improve cyclone resilience.
The final phase covers revetment sections from Berth 1 to Berth 3 and between Berth 3 and BHP’s Nelson Point Berth A, building on previous upgrades at Berth 3 and the Nelson Point Tug Haven.
