Rotterdam expands agrifood logistics hub

The Port of Rotterdam Authority, Necron Group and PTP Group have signed an issuance agreement to develop 38 hectares of new logistics infrastructure at Europoort, reinforcing Rotterdam’s position as one of Europe’s leading gateways for chilled and frozen agrifood products

The project will include the construction of a new quay wall, terminal facilities, large-scale cold storage warehouses and a dedicated energy supply hub. The development forms part of the ongoing expansion of the Rotterdam Food Hub, a strategic logistics centre designed to streamline the handling of agricultural, horticultural and fisheries products.
