Solent Freeport has launched a new £50,000 Apprenticeship Incentive Programme aimed at helping small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the Solent region recruit an apprentice for the first time while creating employment opportunities for young people who were previously not in education, employment or training (Neet)

Delivered in partnership with the Solent Growth Partnership through the Solent Business Growth Service, the programme offers financial incentives of up to £2,000 per apprentice, alongside tailored business support designed to reduce recruitment barriers and strengthen local skills development.
