HHLA unveils private 5G network

Hamburger Hafen und Logistik has commissioned a private 5G campus network at its Container Terminal Altenwerder, providing a high-performance digital infrastructure designed to support automated operations, real-time logistics and future innovation

Developed in partnership with Deutsche Telekom and Ericsson as part of the PROCON-5G project, the network has been operational across more than one square kilometre of the terminal since the end of May 2026.
