Tilbury is poised for 'massive' expansion

Thames Freeport is teaming up with Verizon Business and Nokia to deploy private 5G networks across key industrial and logistics sites along the River Thames Estuary, unlocking significant benefits for one of the UK’s most vital trade hubs

The rollout will support a long-term, multi-billion pound transformation of the Thames Freeport region – covering DP World London Gateway, the Port of Tilbury and Ford Dagenham – enabling real-time logistics, AI-driven analytics, IoT integration and autonomous systems.
