VeriTainer, specialist in crane-mounted radiation scanning solutions, has been invited to participate in an Operational Readiness Test by US customs and security departments at the Port of Tacoma.

Veritainer's crane-mounted nuclear detection technology scans shipping containers seamlessly, and so the system is particularly valuable in transhipment, ship-to-ship and ship-to-rail container movements, where the supply chain needs to keep flowing.

The Customs test marks the end of the second VeriTainer Oakland Pilot Project (OPPII), which ran uninterrupted at Howard Terminal from April 2, 2007 until May 31, 2008.
