Sydney Ports Corporation has instructed technology firm SOFRELOG to install a vessel surveillance system for both Port Botany and Port Jackson, to be operational by May 2011. Under a A$12m investment, the system will “improve surveillance and tracking of all vessels including over 4,500 International ship movements a year” said the port.
