Vacuum mooring debuts in Sweden

Sweden’s first MoorMaster NxG vacuum mooring system officially entered service last week

The system, at Port of Kapellskär, part of Ports of Stockholm, is now being used with Finnlines’ new-build RoPax passenger and freight vessel, Finnsirius.

MoorMaster uses automated vacuum pads to moor and release vessels, eliminating the need for mooring lines.
