The GreenPort Congress Welcome Reception will be hosted by the Port of Antwerp on 8 October 2013 in the city''s Town Hall, 7pm - 9pm.

The Port of Antwerp is the leading European integrated maritime and logistics hub and second largest seaport in Europe. Located right at the heart of the European single internal market, is has become the centre of worldwide trading activities. Antwerp is a multifunctional port, where all types of cargo (containers, break bulk, dry bulk, liquid bulk) are loaded, unloaded, stored and handled in a most efficient way. With direct services to over 500 ports, 300 of which are called weekly, the Port of Antwerp offers a wide variety of regular seaborne and short sea maritime services to all destinations worldwide. With an excellent nautical accessibility even the largest existing container vessels (16.500 TEU) call the Port of Antwerp.

The Town Hall is the one of the most remarkable on the square, Grote Markt. Built by famous architect Cornelis Floris de Vriendt, the Town Hall is one of the oldest Renaissance buildings in the Low Countries with an artistic Gothic-design twist inspired by Flemish and Brabantine town halls.

The Welcome Reception will be the perfect opportunity for delegates to meet and get acquainted with all participants at the event and is included in the delegate fee.
