Wind power for Maasvlakte II

Maasvlakte II is said to be the world’s first container terminal to achieve zero emissions both on and off site

APM Terminals has signed a two-year contract with Amsterdam based NV Nuon Energy for wind powered generated electricity to power the new cranes and handling equipment at the new Maasvlakte II terminal.
