The Grieg Connect system can be used for all product types and information can be shared with other Norwegian ports. Deliveries include the container terminal system Terminal, Autogate, and a port security solution and port data system.

“The modules from Grieg Connect are a good choice for us,” said Kenneth Mathisen, terminal manager at Borg Havn. “Together, they form a whole that streamlines our handling of port calls, street flows and the daily operation of the terminal. Connect also has an industrial, long-term owner, which means predictability for the port,” he added.

High-tech

The port has also agreed a deal with Neowit for the delivery of a new high-tech access control system, which will provide all operators, partners and customers at Borg Havn with a simplified and automated port security solution.

“The system will be able to contribute to players in Borg Havn gaining better control over their visitors and deliveries, at the same time as port preparedness is handled in a better technological way than the current solution,” said Kenneth Mathisen.

“It will provide a better basis for decision-making and streamline our operations,” he added.

The new terminal operating system with Autogate solution is scheduled to begin operation in February 2023.
