Singapore to consolidate boxes at Tuas
The government of Singapore has confirmed its intention to consolidate all container handling at a new port, Tuas, which should go into operation within the next 10 years.
The government has justified the move by claiming it will result in more efficient management of resources.
Tuas is also located in an area of sheltered deepwater and is close to Singapore’s major industrial areas.
