Australian ports spearhead port sustainability

Australian ports are preparing to join the World Ports Sustainability Program (WPSP) as part of a move to showcase their environmental performance with projects including doing away with carcinogenic firefighting foam in ports.

Industry body Ports Australia is currently going through the process of joining the WPSP and CEO Mike Gallacher told GreenPort that the move is part of a wider sustainability initiative.
