Buy in bulk to save costs
In the interests of keeping operator costs at a minimumthroughout the lifetime of cable reel equipment, many operatorspurchase cables and reels together as a package, says Cavotec Specimas ERTG product manager, DiegoSanchez.
“Growth in the cable reel market has levelled out, but demand does remain buoyant in several markets. We are still receiving orders from key customers, and our immediate short to mid-term forecast remains cautiously optimistic,” explains Mr Sanchez.
Cavotec has designed and manufactured cable reels for more than forty years. The first motorised cable reel using a standard squirrel cage motor was made by Cavotec Specimas in 1963 from their base in Nova Milanese, in northern Italy.
