Boosting biofuel products in Rotterdam

Impala Terminals is to buy the beleaguered HES Hartel Tank Terminal at the Port of Rotterdam

With a change of name to Impala Energy Infrastructure Netherlands, Impala hopes the 1.3 million cubic metres of storage capacity will help promote the port as a key facility for a variety of biofuel products, helping the region in its transition away from fossil fuels.

Impala says it has committed to invest between €90-100 million over the next two years to complete the terminal’s construction.
