Chile has unveiled Latin America’s first electric tug, marking a major leap forward in port decarbonisation and the region’s maritime energy transition.

SAAM and Enap’s new ’Trapananda’ tug is now operating in Puerto Chacabuco, one of the world’s southernmost terminals.
