Eco-efficient straddle carriers for Uruguay

Kalmar has won a deal with Terminal Cuenca del Plata to supply 20 eco-efficient hybrid straddle carriers for use at the Port of Montevideo in Uruguay.

This large order was booked in owner Cargotec’s Q4 2023 intake with delivery scheduled during Q3 of 2024.

Owned jointly by Katoen Natie (80%) and the National Port Authority (20%), TCP is investing more than US$500 million in the expansion of the specialised container terminal.
