Electric tug raises the bar for ports

AYK Energy has completed sea trials for what it calls the world’s most powerful electric tug, marking a significant advance in vessel electrification for port operations. 

The marine battery manufacturer said that the Svitzer Balder, constructed by Uzmar shipyard in Türkiye, is the first battery-methanol harbour tug of its kind.
