Hong Kong terminal operator trials HVO

A terminal operator in Hong Kong is trialling the use of hydrotreated vegetable oil, becoming the first company in the region to use this renewable diesel

Modern Terminals will be testing the HVO for three to four weeks at its facilities at Terminal 9 (South) as part of its wider decarbonisation programme.

The trial will see HVO used in three types of equipment – a rubber-tyred gantry crane, a reach stacker and an empty stacker.
