Hybrid straddles advance Hamburg electrification

HHLA has ordered eight hybrid straddle carriers from Konecranes to advance port electrification and accelerate emissions reduction at Hamburg.

The Q4 2025 order will supply HHLA Container Terminal Tollerort with new-design Konecranes Noell NSC 644 EHY machines for container transport, stacking and landside handling, replacing ageing diesel-driven equipment to cut fuel use and modernise operations.
