India unveils green hydrogen plant

H2 facility at Kandla Port

India has taken a significant step toward maritime decarbonisation with the commissioning of a 1 MW green hydrogen power plant at Kandla Port

Developed by the Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), the plant is part of a broader 10 MW project aimed at boosting clean energy adoption in port infrastructure.

The facility was inaugurated by Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, who praised it as ‘a major step towards fulfilling PM Shri Narendra Modi’s 2030 vision’.
